America, You Got It Wrong!

I am convinced that this is the wrong direction for our country.

On a separate note, I have been saying this for 3 elections now. Just look at the disparity in electoral votes as compared to the popular vote. We live in the age of instant information transfer. We really need to get rid of the electoral college. I am writing my congressman about this issue. I really think we should start a movement to get this old way of doing things changed. Although it would not have changed the outcome of this election, it would have changed the outcome of the 2000 election in which W. did not win the popular vote, but did win enough electoral votes. In my estimation, to be accurate, the electoral votes should have been 271 for Obama, and 236 for McCain and 5 electoral votes for "Other." The system must be changed!

Here is an editorial that puts the electoral college in perspective really well.

Changes are coming

Rock the vote, ya'll. I am excited to see a McCain victory tonight. I have my own reasons to vote for him (which I have already done). Obama just doesn't fit my situation, my state's situation, or my own personal beliefs on what America should be and how it should be run. I respect what Obama has done, but I hope he does not win.

McCain will lead us in a new direction. He is the candidate that will change things for the better. A vote for Obama is a vote for change...and socialism in America. That is not what I want my children to live in. And don't kid yourselves, Obama believers, it is socialism.
